Welcome to the new Safe Zone Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte! The Safe Zone Program has had many different manifestations in the past here at UNC-Charlotte, but is now housed in the Multicultural Resource Center under the Assistant Director for Sexual/Gender Diversity.

The new Safe Zone Program offers much more intensive training sessions consisting of two half-day sessions focusing on LGBTQ students and how to best serve them on this campus. The previous program and logo will no longer be used by the institution. The Multicultural Resource Center is asking all staff to turn in the older versions of the Safe Zone Placard to receive a brand new placard after completing our training:
